Patient Transport Express is a service provided free of charge to patients who need NON-EMERGENCY medical transportation from home to services provided at Tri-City Medical Center.

Non-Emergency Services

Call for this service when you need help getting to the hospital and back again for a specific appointment, such as the following:

• Outpatient surgery
  
  
• Rehabilitation appointments
  
  
• Emergency Department visit for an on-the-job injury
  
  
• Imaging or MRI appointments
  
  
• Pre-operative appointments
  
  
• Behavioral health services

If the patient is a child or is someone requiring a caregiver, it is requested that the caregiver accompany the patient. A car seat will be provided for children under 60 pounds.

Call 9-1-1 for an Emergency

The Patient Transport Express service DOES NOT TAKE THE PLACE OF AN AMBULANCE IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS.

Qualified Drivers

All drivers hold a Class B license and our vans are inspected regularly by the CHP. We conform to all vehicle requirements for maintenance.

Please contact us as soon as your appointment is scheduled. At times our schedule is filled in advance. Our goal is to accommodate your appointment with at least one business-day notice.
