Wounds that are chronic and difficult to heal are the focus of the outpatient Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine. In fact, Tri-City Medical Center has the only nationally certified wound care physician in San Diego County, one of only three in the state of California.
Healing treatment plans are determined by a multi-disciplinary, physician-based clinic working in conjunction with your primary care physician. During the course of treatment, care may include surgical intervention, vascular testing, diabetes education, nutritional services, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and education on wound prevention.
