Community Grants

2018 CHAC Grant Application

Regarding the 2018 grants, the Board of Directors voted to suspend the Grant Program for the 2018 cycle in an effort to study and evaluate the program and its future value to the District.  Tri-City Medical Center will not be accepting grant applications for this cycle.  Thank you.

Helping those who help our neighbors

Tri-City Healthcare District (TCHD) is committed to working collaboratively to improve health and well-being in our community.

Each year the TCHD Board of Directors allocates funds for healthcare projects of non-profit agencies located in and serving residents of Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista.

These funds are allocated through a grant process, coordinated by the Community Healthcare Alliance Committee (CHAC).

2016 Winners

The 2016 grants were awarded to 19 local non-profit programs totaling a collective $300,000. Notable for 2016 is that over half of the recipient’s programs had a mental health program focus. Applications were reviewed and recommendations were made by the Community Healthcare Alliance Committee (CHAC).

Grants were awarded to address three areas selected by the CHAC:

  • Healthcare access
  • Health conditions related to lifestyle, including obesity and overweight, physical activity and exercise, diabetes, and heart disease
  • Mental health
