Peer Support

Build friendships, get encouragement and share advice in a free cancer support group at Tri-City Medical Center for patients and their loved ones. If you experience breast cancer, call 760.940.3375 to learn about opportunities to ask questions and share your concerns with a breast cancer survivor as part of the American Cancer Society’s Reach to Recovery program.

Educational Programs

Enhance your well-being with:

  • Community cancer education – Presentations at Tri-City Medical Center by health professionals who specialize in cancer care
  • I Can Cope – Interactive group phone classes that the American Cancer Society offers each month for cancer patients and caregivers. Call 800.237.2345 for more information.
  • Look Good, Feel Better – Advice about skin care, cosmetic techniques, and wearing wigs and scarves after hair loss due to chemotherapy; call the American Cancer Society at 800.237.2345 for more information and registration.

Counseling & Spiritual Guidance

Find help coping with cancer when you participate in:

  • Outpatient counseling – Licensed therapists who assist you in managing depression, anxiety and family relationships
  • Pastoral care – Nondenominational chaplains available around the clock to listen to your concerns and offer spiritual guidance with compassion and understanding

You also may visit our nondenominational chapel near the main lobby for prayer or quiet reflection.

Home Care

Arrange visits from specially trained home health aides who assist you with personal care, pain management, wound care and more.

Palliative Care

Improve your quality of life with palliative care services. They help ease symptoms of cancer, relieve side effects of treatment and provide emotional support.

Fitness & Recovery

After cancer treatment, regain strength and energy at our Tri-City Wellness Center. You’ll benefit from:

  • A Fitness is Recovery class, where you can work out at your own pace and get support from fellow cancer survivors
  • Massage therapy that relaxes your muscles and eases pain
  • Physical therapy, which reduces fatigue and increases your functioning
  • Pilates, which strengthens you through gentle movements
  • Pool therapy, which offers mild, low-impact exercise
