Surgery with Mazor Robotics’ Renaissance involves four major steps:
- Preoperative planning
- Attachment of the robot
- 3D sync of plan to patient
- The Renaissance guided surgical procedure.
How It Works Videos:
Step 1: Plan
Creating a preoperative blueprint of the ideal surgery for each patient in a virtual 3D environment.
Step 2: Mount
Rigid attachment to the patient assures maximum surgical accuracy throughout the procedure.
Step 3: Sync
Two fluoroscopy images of a unique fiducial array automatically synchronize the mounting system with the surgical blueprint.
Step 4: Operate
Tools and implants are guided to the planned location with 1 mm accuracy.
