Strategic Healthcare Programs ‘Superior Performer’ 2021 & 2022
Tri-City Medical Center’s Home Health Care Services has been recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a ‘Superior Performer’ for 2 years in a row (2021 & 2022) for achieving an overall patient satisfaction score that ranked in the top 20% of all eligible SHP clients. Award recipients are determined by reviewing and ranking the overall satisfaction score for more than 2,500 home health providers in the nation. SHP has the largest Home Health Care Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) benchmark in the nation.
Healthgrades – Specialty Excellence Awards 2023 Coronary Intervention
Healthgrades recognized Tri-City Medical Center as one of the top hospitals in the country for coronary intervention in 2023. The Specialty Excellence Awards for coronary intervention acknowledge hospitals that deliver superior patient outcomes in coronary intervention procedures including angioplasty with a stent. Tri-City Medical Center is one of only three hospitals in San Diego County to make the list, and the only one north of Interstate 8.
California Department of Public Health ‘Silver Status’ Antimicrobial Stewardship Honor Roll 2023 – 2026
The California Department of Public Health awarded Tri-City Medical Center with ‘Silver Status’ on the Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI) Antimicrobial Stewardship Honor Roll through 2026. Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improved patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital 2023-2024 Heart Attack & Stroke
U.S. News & World Report, a global authority in hospital rankings and consumer advice, named Tri-City Medical Center as one of the best hospitals for Heart Attack and Stroke Care in 2023-24. Each year, the outlet evaluates hospitals in more than 30 medical and surgical services, providing patients with key specialty rankings and data-driven decision tools.
